Children First Program

This program is designed for families with children ages 0-6 years. STC Urban Children First Program partners with Wanuskewin Heritage Park in delivering the program to provide much needed culturally relevant programming to Urban First Nations people within the City of Saskatoon. Programming for the Children First program involves child and parents together.
Program provided through Children First programming:
- Wanuskewin - This is a 12 week program held Friday each week. Transportation and lunches provided.
- Traditional parenting - partners with the CHUMS program operate out of White Buffalo Youth Lodge. This program allows parents an opportunity to enhance their parenting skills based on cultural, spiritual, value and traditions.
- Other programming include - Talking circles, sharing circles, home visitations, individual and family support and counseling are provided as needed.
The Children First program is open to Parents with children 0 -6 years in their care.
