STC Urban Early Learning Centre
The philosophy of the Early Learning Centre is to provide a secure, safe, and welcoming environment that encourages and supports the uniqueness and specialness of each child and adult, and provides for the development of strong and competent children.
The programming for the centre is set out by professional childcare workers and their supervisors in collaboration with First Nation philosophies, so that the children receive fun, enriching, culturally and developmentally appropriate activities.
The goals of the Early Learning Centre are;
- To provide quality childcare in an environment of enriching and innovative programming.
- To ensure that a healthy and respectful workplace is continually monitored for better and productive service to children and families.
- To continually maintain adherence to the Childcare Regulations as set out by the Childcare Act.
The Early Learning Centre is an approved, subsidized child care facility which holds 12 Infant (6weeks to 18 months) spaces, 30 Toddler (19 months to 2 and a half) spaces and 16 Preschool (2 and a half to 4 years old).
