PALS PROGRAM (Providers of Aboriginal Lifestyles Supports)

In existence since November 1996, The Providers of Aboriginal Lifestyles Supports(PALS) Program has four home visitors who offer in-home support to help families stay together and to achieve a healthy lifestyle. PALS workers help families deal with various issues they may face by providing individual, family counseling and Elder supports. PALS workers also act as an advocate/liaison and network between families with community agencies to reduce isolation.
The Pals program provide support and resources for families coping with urban living such as poverty, racism, family violence, abuse, alcohol, drug abuse, etc.

  • Youth support and counseling
  • Information referral resources
  • Liaison
