Pathways to Education

Pathways to Education

Pathways to Education Program is an after-school tutoring and mentoring program that works within communities, alongside the local school system, to provide academic, financial, social, and one-on-one supports to address barriers related to education and employment in Saskatoon. The goal of the program is to increase graduation rates for Indigenous youth.

The Pathways to Education Program launched in Saskatoon during the 2017-18 school year. It involves a partnership with STC, Saskatoon Public School Division (SPSD), Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS), and Pathways to Education Canada—a national charitable organization that helps students from low-income communities across Canada to graduate from high school. Saskatoon Tribal Council was the first Tribal Council in Canada to host the Pathways to Education Program.
