Student Success Story - Leon Almightyvoice

STC Sponsored Student Receives Two Awards and Scholarship

Proudly walking across the stage at TCU place in his graduation gown is Leon Almightyvoice, a One Arrow First Nation graduate from the SIAST Professional Cooking Certificate Program.

Leon received awards in outstanding achievement for highest marks in his class, perfect attendance and a scholarship towards his next year of studies.

Leon enjoyed the cooking program immensely, which inspired his drive to exceed the goals of in his education. He enjoyed the learning process and took things day by day, making it easy to be at school. He didn’t feel as though any challenges or obstacles could get in the way of his goals and found reward in the milestones he achieved along the way.

Leon’s ultimate goal is gaining Red Seal certification, the highest culinary designation. His future career plans include “experience-wise maybe one of the mines up north or even the Dakota Dunes”.   Leon plans to remain in Saskatchewan stating “eventually down the road I’ll open up my own little café/catering service”.

STC Inc. Rural Labour Force Development sponsored Leon for his first year of studies. STC looks forward to seeing Leon through his educational journey and beyond as he cultivates himself a successful renowned chef.
